My Blessing

Our father who art in heaven
a minute of your time
To give a very special thanks
For the wonderful friends of mine

There is no creature in this world
That is so truly blessed
than me who have these friends of mine
They simply are the best

An inner peace it brings to me
To know that they are there
Thru anything and everything
Stormy, gray or fair

And as if this was not enough
You send into my life
A gift more precious than words can say
An angel for my wife

As I go about my way dear God
And cast my lot on earth
I can not help but think aloud
What is it that I’m worth?

How is it that my life I measure
On the ladder we call time
Let it be the wife I treasure
And these friends of mine

For if this is how I am gauged
On what kind of race I’ve run
I thank you lord for these great gifts
I’m certain that I’ve won
